Assassin Claims the CFU Kickoff Crown

The College Football Underground Kickoff Tournament brought together 24 competitors for a single-elimination battle with a $100 winner-take-all prize on the line. From the opening round through the championship, the bracket produced strong runs, early surprises and several players who established themselves as names to watch in future CFU events. The tournament was also broadcast live, giving the community an opportunity to follow the action and experience the event together.

Assassin Completes the Championship Run

Assassin emerged as the tournament’s biggest winner, surviving the left side of the bracket and finishing the event as the inaugural Kickoff Tournament champion.

His run began against Automatic COB before continuing through MTV. Assassin then faced one of the tournament’s hottest players, Huncho, in the semifinal. Huncho had already eliminated Silverbacc, Tru Legend and BKP, but Assassin ended that impressive run and advanced to the championship.

Waiting in the final was Savvvy, the survivor of the opposite side of the bracket. With the tournament title and the full $100 prize at stake, Assassin completed his run by defeating Savvvy and claiming the championship.

The result puts Assassin at the front of the CFU competitive scene. Winning a 24-player single-elimination tournament requires consistency, composure and the ability to survive several different opponents. Assassin delivered when the pressure was highest.

Savvvy Proves He Belongs Among the Elite

Although Savvvy did not leave with the championship, reaching the final made him one of the clear winners of the tournament.

Savvvy opened against Saint, followed that victory by eliminating former tournament winner Vtech, and then defeated Rich 215 in the semifinal. That path was far from easy. Vtech entered with championship credentials, while Rich 215 had been one of the strongest performers anywhere in the bracket.

Savvvy ultimately came up one victory short against Assassin, but his performance established him as a serious championship threat. A runner-up finish in a field this large is not something to dismiss. Savvvy will enter the next CFU event as one of the players everyone will be watching.

Huncho and Rich 215 Lead the Next Group

The two semifinalists also deserve significant recognition.

Huncho put together one of the most impressive runs on the left side. He defeated Silverbacc in the opening round, advanced past Tru Legend and then stopped BKP before meeting Assassin. Huncho did not win the tournament, but he demonstrated why he remains one of CFU’s most dangerous competitors.

On the right side, Rich 215 defeated Snupe, moved past Foody and ended Fuego’s promising run. His tournament ended against Savvvy in the semifinal, but reaching the final four after navigating several competitive matchups made Rich 215 another major winner from the event.

Both players left the tournament without the prize money, but with their reputations strengthened.

BKP and Fuego Make Their Presence Felt

BKP and Fuego were eliminated before the semifinals, but neither had an unsuccessful tournament.

BKP defeated Doc Giggles and Killuminati before falling to Huncho. Fuego opened by defeating Summer, followed that result with a win over Dre White and then ran into Rich 215.

Winning multiple games in a single-elimination format is meaningful. BKP and Fuego showed that they can survive the opening pressure and compete deep into a bracket. Their next challenge will be turning those strong starts into semifinal and championship appearances.

The Toughest Exits

Every tournament creates difficult draws, and several capable players saw their runs end earlier than expected.

Vtech’s elimination stood out because of his previous championship success. After defeating Jhall, he was stopped by Savvvy before he could make another title run. The result does not erase Vtech’s accomplishments, but it shows how quickly a dangerous opponent can end a tournament.

Automatic COB may have received the most unforgiving opening matchup in the field, drawing the eventual champion immediately. Saint also faced a finalist in the first round, while MTV advanced past Space only to encounter Assassin.

Silverbacc, Beard, Doc Giggles, Mark Woodson, Space, Automatic COB, Summer, Prince, Snupe, Berko, Saint and Jhall all experienced first-round exits. Those results make them the tournament’s “losers” on paper, but the single-elimination format leaves little room for recovery. One difficult matchup or one poor game can end an otherwise promising night.

The Biggest Winner Was the CFU Community

Beyond the individual results, the tournament represented an important step for College Football Underground.

A complete 24-player field, live coverage, organized commentary and a winner-take-all prize created the atmosphere of a legitimate competitive event. Players had something meaningful to compete for, while viewers had storylines to follow from the opening round through the championship.

Assassin leaves as the champion. Savvvy leaves as the closest challenger. Huncho and Rich 215 leave with semifinal runs, while BKP and Fuego showed they are capable of becoming future finalists.

Everyone else leaves with a target: return stronger, survive one more round and become the next name displayed in the center of the CFU bracket.

Final result: Assassin defeats Savvvy to win the College Football Underground Kickoff Tournament and the $100 winner-take-all prize.
